Srishti Skills is pleased to announce receipt of an Arts Council England microgrant to support our dance provision for Big Dance 2010.
Established in 2006, Big Dance is a biennial celebration of dance in the capital led by the Greater London Authority in partnership with Arts Council England. It is the world’s biggest and most influential dance initiative and is delivered through a network of London’s leading dance organisations. This year's event is sponsored by T-Mobile and is set to be bigger than ever.
Fifty organizations and individuals across the capital have been awarded micro-grants of £1,000 each to help stage their events. Srishti will be running Bend It Like Bengal with boys and young men across the borough of Harrow, leading to a performance in Big Dance week (3-11 July).
Big Dance is funded by Legacy Trust UK, an independent charity set up to create a cultural and sporting legacy from the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games across the UK.
