Kadala… Is it love?
Kadala…Is it love? opens the programme, portraying a woman in love and doubting her absent lover’s commitment. Nina Rajarani has adapted the original work to reflect a new age of “love”, exploring ingredients necessary to play ball when loyalty and fidelity are questionable.
Bend it…
Bend it… Let’s play ball! A fun-filled ensemble piece about the beautiful game, featuring rhythm and rivalry with complex footwork and vibrant energy. With women’s football competing for equal status with the men’s game, Srishti uses an all-female cast of dancers to re-imagine Bend it… for the modern age.

Set in the fast-paced corporate world, this powerful piece captures concludes the programme with a cut-throat competition. Will business associates play ball and close the deal? This piece won Nina the 2006 Place Prize, Europe’s largest choreographic competition.With more women heading the financial world these days, and technology altering the face of the workplace, the reworked version of QUICK! addresses the shift in gender expectation and increased dependency on digital technology.
Play Ball received funding from Arts Council England for its touring in 2008. The production toured to the following venues:
